Quick Adjustment Steps for Conveyor Belt Misalignment

I. Pre-adjustment Safety Measures
Press the emergency stop button, ensure the equipment is fully powered down, and apply safety lockouts.
Prepare a wrench, a marker, and a spirit level; mark the location of the misalignment and the reference centerline.
II. Rapid Diagnosis and Localization
Run the conveyor empty (jog mode) for 3 minutes to confirm the specific location and direction of the misalignment.
Apply the "track toward the tight side" principle to pinpoint the fault within 10 minutes, prioritizing easily fixable causes like material buildup on pulleys or off-center material loading.
III. Targeted Rapid Adjustments
Misalignment due to off-center loading: Adjust the loading chute position so material lands in the center of the belt (1-minute task).
Misalignment due to pulley buildup: Stop the machine to clean accumulated material from the pulley surface and restore uniform pulley diameter (3–5 minute fix).
Misalignment due to specific idlers: Slightly angle the idler on the side of the misalignment by 3° in the direction of belt travel; limit the adjustment to no more than 5mm at a time.
Misalignment due to uneven tension: Synchronously adjust tensioning devices on both sides to ensure equal tensioning travel.
IV. Verification and Finalization
Run the conveyor empty continuously for 5 minutes to observe if the belt remains stable and centered.
Conduct a loaded test run to confirm there is no misalignment or spillage, then remove safety lockouts and resume production.
