There are three common methods for joining PVC conveyor belts:
1. Metal Fastener Joint
This method uses metal fasteners such as alligator clips or butterfly buckles. It allows for quick and easy installation, making it convenient for on-site maintenance. However, the joint is not very strong and may shorten the service life of the belt.
2. Hot Press Joint
Hot press splicing is considered an ideal method. It provides a strong, seamless joint with excellent stability and a long service life. This technique is well-suited for applications requiring high efficiency and durability.
3. Cold Bonded Overlap Joint
This method uses cold adhesive to bond the overlapping ends of the belt. It is more economical and efficient in terms of cost and operation. However, the bonding process can be difficult to control, and the joint may not be as stable as a hot press joint.
