Under operating conditions involving ambient temperatures, light loads, and regular maintenance, it remains usable for another 3 to 6 months. However, if subjected to harsh conditions-such as high temperatures or heavy loads-its remaining service life is typically limited to 1 to 2 months.
2. Moderate Aging: The surface displays fine, hairline cracks; elasticity has diminished; and slight delamination is visible along the edges. Even under favorable operating conditions, the remaining service life is merely 1 to 3 months. Under harsh conditions, failure due to breakage may occur within a single month.
3. Severe Aging: Characterized by extensive surface crazing (turtle-shell cracking), exposure of the belt core, severe delamination, and a complete loss of elasticity. The remaining service life generally does not exceed 1 month; in extreme cases, breakage could occur within a matter of days. Immediate replacement is strongly recommended.
Key Factors Influencing Remaining Service Life
1. Continuous exposure to high temperatures, high humidity, corrosive materials, or prolonged heavy loads will drastically accelerate the aging process, reducing the remaining service life by more than half compared to the ranges outlined above.
2. Timely removal of corrosive surface debris, along with proper adjustment of belt tension and control of the conveyed load, can-to a certain extent-extend the usable life of an aged belt; however, these measures cannot fundamentally reverse the aging process itself.
