1. Maintain proper tension
Check and adjust the tension of the conveyor belt regularly to ensure that it is within the range recommended by the manufacturer. Insufficient tension is one of the common causes of slippage. For example, a tension measuring tool can be used to accurately measure and adjust.
2. Clean the conveyor belt and rollers
Remove dirt, grease and moisture from the conveyor belt and debris from the roller surface in a timely manner. These contaminants reduce friction and cause slippage. For example, use special cleaning agents and tools to clean regularly.
3. Check the roller status
Make sure that the roller rotates flexibly without jamming or uneven wear. Severely worn rollers should be replaced in time. For example, if grooves or unevenness are found on the surface of the roller, they should be repaired or replaced.
4. Control the load
Avoid the load on the conveyor belt exceeding its designed carrying capacity. Excessive loads will increase the running resistance of the conveyor belt and easily cause slippage. For example, when placing materials, strictly follow the specified weight.
5. Optimize the conveying angle and speed
According to actual needs, reasonably set the inclination angle and running speed of the conveyor belt. Too large an angle or too fast a speed may cause the material to slide down and the conveyor belt to slip. For example, for a steeper conveying angle, the speed can be appropriately reduced.
6. Choose the right drive mode
Use a drive device with good performance, such as a variable frequency drive, to provide stable and sufficient power output.
7. Improve the working environment
Avoid the conveyor belt from operating in a harsh environment with humidity, heat or dust. Extreme environmental conditions may affect the performance of the conveyor belt and rollers. For example, add protective measures in a humid environment to prevent moisture from affecting friction.
8. Regular maintenance and care
Develop and strictly implement a regular maintenance plan, including checking the joints of the conveyor belt, the bearings of the rollers, the connections of the drive device, etc. For example, lubricate and tighten key components at regular intervals.
9. Train operators
Train operators to understand the correct operating methods and precautions to avoid conveyor belt slippage due to improper operation. For example, teach operators how to place materials evenly and avoid concentrated stacking.
