Minor wear
1. Adjust operating parameters: For minor wear caused by unreasonable operating parameters, wear can be reduced by adjusting the tension, speed and other parameters of the conveyor belt. For example, appropriately reducing the running speed of the conveyor belt can reduce the impact of the material on the conveyor belt, thereby reducing wear. At the same time, ensure that the tension of the conveyor belt is uniform and avoid excessive or insufficient tension. Excessive tension will increase the friction between the conveyor belt and the roller, accelerating wear; too little tension will cause the conveyor belt to slip easily, which will also lead to increased wear.
2. Cleaning and maintenance: Regularly clean the conveyor belt to remove impurities such as materials, dust and oil on the surface. These impurities will enter between the conveyor belt and the roller, increase friction and accelerate wear. Cleaning can be done using a special cleaning device or manual cleaning. In addition, it is necessary to regularly check the rollers, rollers and other components of the conveyor belt to ensure that they rotate flexibly and without jamming. For severely worn rollers and rollers, they should be replaced in time to ensure the normal operation of the conveyor belt.
Moderate wear
1. Local repair: When local wear occurs on the surface of the conveyor belt, it can be treated by repairing. First, clean the worn parts and remove the dirt and aged rubber layer on the surface. Then, use special repair glue or repair materials to fill and repair the worn parts. When repairing, make sure that the repair material fits the surface of the conveyor belt fully without bubbles and gaps. After the repair is completed, the repaired parts need to be properly cured to improve the durability of the repair effect. For example, for some small scratches or wear, rubber repair agents can be used for repair.
2. Turning the conveyor belt around: If the wear of the conveyor belt is relatively uniform in the width direction and the degree of wear does not exceed half of the thickness of the conveyor belt, you can consider turning the conveyor belt around. This can evenly distribute the worn parts of the conveyor belt and extend the service life of the conveyor belt. When turning the conveyor belt around, you need to pay attention to the correctness of the joint direction and running direction of the conveyor belt to avoid problems such as deviation.
Severe wear
1. Replace the conveyor belt: When the wear of the conveyor belt is very serious, such as the wear thickness exceeds more than half of the thickness of the conveyor belt, or there is a large area of damage or tearing, the conveyor belt should be replaced in time. When replacing the conveyor belt, choose products with reliable quality and appropriate specifications, and install them strictly in accordance with the installation instructions. Ensure that the joints of the conveyor belt are firm and flat, the tension is uniform, and the rollers and rollers are installed correctly. At the same time, before the new conveyor belt is put into use, a trial run should be carried out to check the operation of the conveyor belt to ensure that there is no abnormality before it is officially put into use.
In addition, in order to reduce the occurrence of conveyor belt wear, it is also necessary to strengthen the daily management and maintenance of the conveyor belt, regularly check the operation of the conveyor belt, and promptly discover and deal with problems. At the same time, optimize the design and operation parameters of the conveying system, and select the appropriate conveyor belt type and specifications to adapt to different materials and conveying requirements.
