Preparation
Determine the scraper model and quantity: Determine the model and quantity of the scraper required according to the actual needs and the size of the conveyor belt.
Prepare tools: Prepare the tools required for installation, such as wrenches, screwdrivers (including electric screwdrivers), ladders, etc.
Check the condition of the conveyor belt: Make sure that the conveyor belt is not damaged or has foreign objects, so as not to affect the installation effect and subsequent use.
Installation steps
Determine the installation position:
The scraper is usually installed at the head or tail of the conveyor belt. The specific location depends on the attachment position of the material to be removed and the running direction of the conveyor belt.
When selecting the installation location, the contact area and effect of the scraper and the conveyor belt should be considered to ensure that the scraper can effectively remove debris on the conveyor belt.
Install the scraper:
Connect the scraper to the mounting bracket. This usually involves fixing the scraper to the conveyor belt bracket and fixing it with fasteners such as screws.
When fixing the scraper, pay attention to adjusting the tightness of the fixing screws to ensure that the scraper is stable but not too tight to damage the conveyor belt.
Adjust the scraper position:
After installation, adjust the position of the scraper to ensure that its contact surface with the conveyor belt is appropriate. The scraper and the conveyor belt should not be too tight or too loose to avoid affecting the cleaning effect and the normal operation of the conveyor belt.
Adjust the angle and height of the scraper as needed so that the scraper can be close to the surface of the conveyor belt for cleaning, while avoiding unnecessary wear on the conveyor belt.
Technical requirements and precautions
Installation angle: The angle of the scraper should be consistent with the running direction of the conveyor belt to ensure that the scraper can smoothly contact the conveyor belt and effectively remove material attachments.
Gap adjustment: The gap between the scraper and the conveyor belt should be appropriately adjusted according to the material characteristics and cleaning requirements. Too large a gap may lead to poor cleaning effect, and too small a gap may increase the wear and energy consumption of the conveyor belt.
Fit check: After installation, the fit of the scraper and the conveyor belt should be carefully checked. The scraper should be in close contact with the surface of the conveyor belt to ensure the maximum cleaning effect.
Fixing and support: The scraper should be firmly installed on the conveyor belt system to prevent it from loosening or shifting. The support structure should be stable and reliable and able to withstand the working load of the scraper.
Regular inspection and maintenance: After installation, the wear and cleanliness of the scraper should be checked regularly, and the scraper with severe wear should be replaced in time and the debris on the scraper should be cleaned. At the same time, pay attention to keeping the contact between the scraper and the conveyor belt clean and smooth to reduce wear and extend the service life.
Regular inspection and maintenance:
After installation, the wear and cleanliness of the scraper should be checked regularly.
Replace the scraper parts with severe wear in time, and clean the debris and dust on the scraper.
Regularly check the contact between the scraper and the conveyor belt to ensure good fit.
Lubrication and maintenance:
For scraper parts that need lubrication (such as bearings, etc.), regular lubrication and maintenance should be carried out according to the requirements of the instructions.
Keep the scraper parts clean and dry to avoid moisture or corrosion.
Safety precautions:
During the installation and maintenance process, relevant safety regulations and operating procedures should be followed.
Wear personal protective equipment (such as safety helmets, safety shoes, gloves, etc.) to ensure personal safety.
During the operation of the equipment, any maintenance or adjustment work is prohibited.
