How to prevent PU conveyor belts from being damaged by high temperatures?

Apr 18, 2025

1. Choose the right high-temperature resistant material
High-temperature resistant PU conveyor belts: Choose PU conveyor belts that are specially designed for high-temperature environments. These conveyor belts usually have high-temperature resistant components added to them and can withstand higher temperatures.
Temperature range: The temperature resistance range of ordinary PU conveyor belts is generally -10℃ to 80℃. If the working environment temperature exceeds this range, you should choose a high-temperature resistant PU conveyor belt or a conveyor belt made of other materials, such as Teflon conveyor belts, which can withstand temperatures up to 260℃.
2. Control the working environment temperature
Avoid high-temperature environments: Try to avoid using them in environments that exceed the temperature resistance range of PU conveyor belts. If you must use them in a high-temperature environment, take measures to reduce the temperature of the working environment.
Ventilation and heat dissipation: In a high-temperature environment, ensure that there are sufficient ventilation and heat dissipation measures around the conveyor belt to reduce the working temperature of the conveyor belt.
3. Regular inspection and maintenance
Check the surface of the conveyor belt: Regularly check the surface of the conveyor belt for signs of wear, cracks or other damage. If damage is found, it should be repaired or replaced in time.
Check the tension: Check the tension of the conveyor belt regularly to ensure that it is properly tight. A conveyor belt that is too loose or too tight may cause damage.
Clean the conveyor belt: Clean the surface of the conveyor belt regularly to remove impurities such as dust and oil to reduce damage caused by high temperature.
4. Use suitable lubricants
High temperature resistant lubricants: Use high temperature resistant lubricants to lubricate the moving parts of the conveyor belt to reduce friction and wear.
5. Avoid overloading
Control the load: Do not exceed the rated load of the conveyor belt. Overloading may cause the conveyor belt to break or damage, especially in high temperature environments.
6. Avoid high temperature burns
Avoid contact with hot objects: Prevent the conveyor belt from contacting hot objects or other environments that may cause high temperatures.
