I. Scenarios Where a Shutdown is Not Required
1. For minor misalignment where the belt is not in contact with the frame and the anti-misalignment emergency stop device has not been triggered, fine-tuning can be performed using the built-in automatic self-aligning idlers and external correction device while the equipment is running at low speed and under no-load. Direct hand contact with the belt is strictly prohibited throughout the process.
2. For minor dust or debris removal from the roller surface where there is sufficient safety clearance from the belt, cleaning can be done remotely using specialized tools while the equipment is running at low speed.
II. Scenarios Where a Shutdown is Required
1. For severe misalignment where the belt edge is rubbing against the frame and is about to roll over or tear, the machine must be stopped immediately, the power disconnected, and the machine locked before any further operation.
2. For operations involving core components, such as manually adjusting idler positions, moving roller bearing seats, or re-processing belt joints, the machine must be stopped to prevent injuries or fatalities caused by limbs being caught in the equipment.
3. Relevant safety regulations clearly stipulate that it is strictly forbidden to adjust the belt while it is powered on during misalignment. Failure to stop the machine and operating in violation of these regulations is a major cause of such accidents.
