How long does it take to install a PU conveyor belt?

Sep 29, 2025

1. Installation Complexity
Simple replacement (replacing an old belt of the same model): Approximately 2-3 hours, requiring simultaneous pulling of the old belt and calibration of the new belt.
New machine installation (initial configuration): Approximately 4-6 hours, including frame calibration, roller positioning, and tensioning adjustments.
Special configurations (such as ramps and sidewall belts): An additional 1-2 hours are required, requiring additional adjustment of the roller angle and anti-slip devices.
2. Teamwork and Tools
A three-person team (pulling, positioning, and tightening) can shorten the installation time to 2-4 hours, while a single-person operation may extend to 6-8 hours.
Specialized tools (such as a tension meter and pulley blocks) can improve efficiency and avoid repeated adjustments.
3. Adjustment and Testing
No-load test: 30 minutes to 1 hour, requiring low-speed operation and adjustment for slippage. Load Testing: Load in stages (25% → 100%), 30 minutes per stage, for a total of 1-2 hours.

Notes
Joint Preparation: If hot melt or cold vulcanization is required, allow an additional 1-2 hours.

Environmental Constraints: Working in confined spaces or at height may extend installation time.
