The Process Of Conveyor Belt Joint

Hot vulcanized joint process:
1. Surface treatment: The conveyor belt joint is made into a beveled stepped joint according to the length of the 1/2 bandwidth, and then the surface of the joint is roughened, and cleaned with a cleaning agent, decontaminated and dried.
2. Glue coating: Apply vulcanized glue evenly on the surface of the joint and the vulcanized rubber sheet for one or two times. After the solution volatilizes until the rubber surface is basically dry, attach the vulcanized rubber sheet to the surface of the joint coated with the vulcanized glue. Paste buffer rubber strips at the gap between layers (note that if the glue is not dry enough, air bubbles will be generated, resulting in a decrease in the bonding performance).
3. Bonding and pressing: After the glue solvent volatilizes until the glue surface is basically dry, glue the two ends together. When laminating, laminate from the middle of the conveyor belt to both sides (to facilitate the escape of air from both sides), and make the two sides of the film loosen at the same degree, the steps of each joint are aligned, and the center line is aligned. After bonding, fully roll to prevent air bubbles from accumulating, and press the two heating plates on and below the joint to apply a certain pressure. When pressurizing, be careful not to dislocate the joints, and the pressure should be uniform.
4. Heating vulcanization: Install the vulcanization device. Heat up and pressurize. When the heating plate is heated for 15-25 minutes, press it tightly once to ensure that the joint is under sufficient pressure. When the temperature reaches 80°C, the pressure is required to reach 1.0-2.0MPa, then stop pressurizing and continue heating. Start timing when the temperature rises to 145°C, and keep the constant temperature between 145°C and 150°C. After 45 minutes, stop heating immediately and let it cool down to normal temperature naturally.
5. Trimming. After the joint returns to normal temperature, remove the heating plate, scrape off the overflowing residual glue and the rubber that is higher than the belt surface, so that the surface of the joint is flat, smooth and clean.
