I. Pre-installation preparation details
1. Centerline calibration: Use the centerline of the conveyor belt as the installation benchmark. The error of the centerline for a single row frame should be ±0.1mm, and the overall length error should be less than 35mm.
2. Belt inspection: Ensure that the working rubber side of the conveyor belt faces outward (the side with thicker rubber). Leave sufficient curvature radius at folds to prevent belt damage.
3. Frame verification: Check whether the idler rollers rotate flexibly. The diagonal lengths of the frame must be equal to avoid potential deviations later.
II. Installation process details
1. Installation sequence: Strictly follow the sequence of first frame, then intermediate frame, and finally tail frame. The drive shaft of the drive unit must be perpendicular to the centerline.
2. Shaft accuracy: All rollers and idlers should be arranged horizontally and parallel, with the shaft horizontal error controlled within 0.5-1.5mm.
3. Traction Operation: When traction of the conveyor belt, the speed should be slow. After securing one end with a clamp, the belt should be balanced onto the frame to prevent the belt from being squeezed and collided with the frame.
4. Length Allowance: The installation length needs to take into account the plastic and elastic deformation of the conveyor belt, allowing for at least one joint allowance to avoid having to redo the joint during subsequent maintenance.
5. Joint Control: Monitor the entire vulcanization joint process. After completion, check the flatness of the joint to ensure that the joint strength reaches more than 90% of the belt body strength.
III. Post-Installation Commissioning Details
1. Idle Run Duration: Idle run for at least 4 hours, checking throughout for belt misalignment, normal drive temperature, and smooth idler roller operation.
2. Tension Adjustment: Fine-tune the tensioning device to maintain a moderate sag of the conveyor belt (generally 1.5-2% of the belt length), avoiding slippage due to excessive looseness and increased motor load due to excessive tightness.
3. Component adjustment: Precisely adjust the position of the funnel feeding plate, skirt plate, and baffle plate to prevent material jamming and abrasion of the conveyor belt surface.
