What are the main wear parts of the conveyor belt?

Oct 04, 2024

1. Friction between the frame and the conveyor belt. The conveyor belt may sometimes deviate due to defects caused by the manufacture, installation, and use of the conveyor. When the deviation is too much, the conveyor belt contacts the roller bracket and the frame, causing the edge rubber to wear and even flanging the conveyor belt.

2. Friction between the guide trough baffle and the conveyor belt. The wear of the baffle on the conveyor belt is a special wear. If the design method of the baffle is improved and maintenance is paid attention to, this wear can be almost prevented.

3. Friction between the roller and the conveyor belt. The lower cover rubber of the conveyor belt is also subject to friction between the self-aligning roller and the forward-tilted groove roller. Wear occurs in the transition section from the groove roller to the drum and the curved convex part of the conveyor.

4. The friction between the sweeper and the conveyor belt. The wear and tear caused by the sweeper on the conveyor belt is usually uniform. However, when using a harder steel plate as a sweeping plate, if it is not used properly, the rubber other than the dirt will be cut off. When foreign matter enters between the sweeper tip and the conveyor belt, it will also scratch deep scars along the entire length of the conveyor belt.
